Feeding off the endless need to share inspiration, ideas and tunes, Citrus
Blossom have been a cog in the never-ending machine that rock n roll is, since
2017. From the very beginning the goal was to showcase original compositions
onstage and right after the band’s line-up was stable at the spring of 2018, the
wheels were set in motion. Cruising through a high energy, groovy rock and
keeping the raw essence a quartet always pulls off, they have managed to
assemble a number of songs tailor-made to be played in front of a crowd. The
variety of influences has always contributed to a creative mixture of sounds, as
would account for a setting of solid drums alongside with a scent of traditional
Greek music in the vocal / guitar delivery and melodic bass lines infused in a
funky jazz atmosphere. Through evolving improvisation and a pallet of antimilitarist and sociopolitical lyrics addressing the world’s inequalities, the struggle
of immigration and the horrors of war, the 5 tracks on the “Eyes Filled With
Apathy” EP demonstrate Citrus Blossom as a young and hungry band, ready to
take on the world (thus mapping a collaboration with A Map Constellation),
spread their message to as many minds and hearts possible with an
uncompromised and soulful, melodic edge.
